PMM Pension ‘Remedy’ Webinar Presentations

PMM Pension ‘Remedy’ Webinar Presentations have been arranged for the following dates over the autumn period and are now available for Members to register and attend; these will be held online via Microsoft Teams.

  • Monday 12th September 2022 – 6.00pm to 8.00pm
  • Tuesday 27th September 2022 – 2.00pm to 4.00pm
  • Monday 3rd October 2022 – 6.00pm to 8.00pm
  • Monday 17th October 2022 – 6.00pm to 8.00pm
  • Monday 31st October 2022 – 6.00pm to 8.00pm
  • Wednesday 9th November 2022 – 2.00pm to 4.00pm
  • Monday 14th November 2022 – 6.00pm to 8.00pm

These events are being held exclusively for members of the eight Federation Branches in the North-East and Cumbria; places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first served basis.

The presentations will be delivered by Andrew Benning, an Advisor specialising in Police Pension Schemes, the topics covered include:

  • What is the proposed ‘Remedy’? 
  • How will my pension be affected by the Remedy? 
  • When can I access my pension benefits? 
  • A better understanding of how your pension works 
  • Comparison of the 1987, 2006 and 2015 pension schemes 
  • Pros and Cons on the proposed Remedy 

To book a place, members MUST register via the ‘Workshops’ area of the PMM website – https://www.policemoneymatters.com/webinars/ – enter your details and select the relevant event above; you will then receive a link via e-mail to allow you access to the Webinar at the time and date specified.  Please note: For the purposes of the SJP events booking system, West Yorkshire is located in the East Midlands/East drop-down menu.

To respond effectively to the demand for information on this subject, PMM has exclusive access to a network of trained St James’ Place Financial Advisor Partners who are available to provide one-to-one consultations and bespoke pension advice to members who may wish to avail themselves of that service having attended a ‘Remedy’ Webinar.

All appointments are held at the Federation office or virtually; however, if the appointments we offer do not suit you then alternative arrangements can be made with the companies.

Parking


As there is limited parking at the Federation Office, there are a number of other places you can park nearby:

  • On the road opposite the Federation Office between 10am – 2pm.
  • College Grove Sports Ground, opposite the Federation Office (collect a token from the Federation Office to park there for free).
